In publishing a student paper on Facebook use of students I realized that a surge in SPAM on a comments page reached unmanageable levels. The only way out was to stop the comment function of the webpage. In a recent paper on digital technology and social movements I found that most trade unions already did no longer trust Facebook as a networking tool and many had developed their own trustworthy digital networks.
